Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AnySVG.
Is AnySVG completely free?
Yes. All tools on AnySVG are free to use with no hidden costs, no account required, and no watermarks on your output files.
How does PNG to SVG conversion work?
We use potrace, an industry-standard bitmap tracing algorithm, to convert your raster image into scalable vector paths. The image is first pre-processed to optimise tracing quality.
Is my data safe?
All processing happens server-side and is completely stateless. We do not store your uploaded files or converted outputs. Files are processed in memory and immediately discarded.
What is the maximum file size?
The maximum upload size is 10MB per file. For batch conversions, this limit applies to each individual file.
Can I use the SVGs commercially?
SVGs you convert from your own images remain your property. SVGs from our library are released under the MIT or CC0 licence — check the individual file for details.
